It’s that time again! The Hawai’i Language Roadmap currently is running our Spring Semester round of testing for the Global Seal of Biliteracy with twice-a-month testing sessions scheduled for 9:30am to 2:30pm in-person in the Moore Hall 153B Computer Lab on the following dates:
- Tuesday, February 13
- Thursday, February 22
- Thursday, March 14
- Tuesday, March 19 (Spring Break)
- Thursday, April 11
- Tuesday, April 23
- Thursday, May 2 (UHM Study Day)
Remote testing options are also available.
These testing opportunities are available for students who are graduating in Spring or Summer 2024, or who have graduated in Fall 2023, as well as for students in the Korean and Chinese Flagship Programs (Flagship Students are eligible to test once per year).

Employers from the Deep South to the West Coast are using the Global Seal to certify employee language proficiency. Closer to home: In 2023, the Hawai’i Language Bank began using the Seal to certify their interpreters. Earning the Seal can enhance a student’s confidence in their abilities, and enhance their prospects for employment. This is a chance to help our students succeed as they seek out opportunities to make meaningful use of their additional language proficiency.
