I am an Associate Professor of Korean Linguistics and the Director of the Korean Language Flagship Center at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. My primary research interests include second language acquisition, Korean phonology and phonetics, advanced Korean curriculum development, content-based instruction, and teaching the language and culture of Korea through Korean film. I was honored to receive the 2009 Board of Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Teaching at UHM.
